Melly: This was built as part of MIT Hacking Arts, a hackathon hosted at MIT that brings together artists and engineers. Buzz Angle is an existing company that helps musicians review data about their work, such as number of streams. They had a challenge to use their data to predict how popular a song would be in the next week based on this data. We developed a predictive model that combined number of views, listens, sales, airplay, and Shazams and implemented it in Python. See images for how our model compared to real data.
